Founded in 2019, The Indigenous Aquatic Stewardship Fund is a charitable entity committed to leadership and stewardship in the realm of environmental conservation. Jordan Point is a strategic thinker with extensive experience in both First Nations and non-Indigenous governance. With 30 years on the Musqueam First Nation Council and 15 years in the Federal government and 13 as ED of the FNFC, Jordan excels in building collaborative structures and executing effective strategies in complex environments. His expertise extends to management, board development and director roles in public and private sectors, as well as First Nation LLP structures. Jordan‘s diverse background, coupled with his training in instructional techniques, facilitation, and public dispute resolution, equips him to lead the organization in preserving and sustainably managing British Columbia’s aquatic resources while fostering partnerships for mutual success.
Karl Dhillon, CPA, oversees the organization‘s financial and business development operations with precision and expertise. With a strong background in business development, finance and accounting, Karl brings a wealth of experience in financial planning, analysis, and management to ensure the Fund’s financial sustainability and transparency. His proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting and business development supports the Fund‘s mission of preserving and sustainably managing British Columbia’s aquatic resources.
Isabel Gonzalo brings her extensive expertise in program management, operations, logistics, and business development. Through her expertise in logistics and operations, Isabel ensures the smooth implementation of programs, while her business development proficiency expands the Fund’s reach.
